PS3 Online Lag issue Verizon Broadband Internet Card?

I have a PS3 connected to the internet via a Cradlepoint Router (usb cellular modem router) . I have a Verizon Wireless Broadband card plugged into that. When i go online to play Call of Duty, I only have about 1 out of 4 bars of connection and i can't even host a match without it ending due to bad connection. I live outside of Comcast and even DSL areas. How can I fix this? It is really starting to get aggravating especially when you are laying a guy out with a PpSH-41 and he shouts u once with a Magnum.
