Purchasing a SUV please Help, cannot decide.Mercury Mountaineer 2004?
I am looking at a Mercury Mountaineer 2004 Premier V8 AWD with 66k miles for $7.5 k.
It has a chk tire pressure/oil change light on but the tire pressure is good and oil has been changed.
It drives stiffer than a Explorer i drove, i believe that's because it because its on constant AWD, i might be wrong. The transmission shifts smooth(reverse and drive)
I have heard a lot of good and bad stories about the mountaineers that they have transmission problems, but on the other hand EDMUNDS consumer rating is at 8.8 and Honda pilot is 8.9.
