putting religion aside arent we all humans, we are eachothers neighbours friends, enemies strangers whatever, we are all humans if u take off all our clothes title money religion sexual preference we are all humans, isnt religion teaching us to respect all humans and all life forms?

yes. all religions teach us to have respesct/compassion towards all life forms.

"isn't religion teaching us to respect all humans and all life forms?" Oh come on. Get real. Just look around here in R/S. Religion is the foremost reason people do NOT have respect for each other. Religion teaches intolerance across the board. slam the gays, slam the lesbians, slam the Muslims, slam the Atheists, slam the Wiccans, slam those who practice Voodoo, hate...Respect?? Now that's a laugh. Just watch how many Christians and such give a TD for this. Their tolerance and acceptance of the facts will be clearly shown.

I agree with everything except the last statement which is "isn't religion teaching us to respect all humans and all life forms?"... To me thats a joke. Obviously religion doesn't do that. It says that it does but in reality it doesn't. Religious people think that people who don't believe in the same thing as they do are exponentially different somehow. They treat gays and atheists with disrespect. They think that anyone who doesn't have their same religious ideology are going to hell. They are taught to fear people who are eccentric or weird... I know personally. I am an atheist weirdo who grew up in Utah.... anyway, religion segregates people.

Yes, we are all humans and we can aspire to be better humans with or without religion.
