i want to make divx dvd's with over 1 dvd on a single disk but how do i put them all on one, where can i find a compressor and do the files have to be divx ?

As far as I know there's no such thing as a DIVX DVD.

What there is is a data format DVD with DIVX format video files on it.

If you really need DIVX then free software is available (google video converter and divx) or you can splash on the real stuff from DIVX.COM (DIVX is their proprietry version of a .avi/mp4 file).

typically you can get about 1 hour of TV down to 200MB. so you should be able to get ~ 16 hours on a DVD (less in HD quality).

Note however that this is a data disk which contains separate video files.

It is not a DVD which will play in normal DVD players.

If you're trying to play it on a TV you'll need a player which will play DIVX files from DVD.

Many DVD's say they will play DIVX - but they expect the DIVX files to be on SD Card/USB Stick/External Hard drive.(I have one)

Note that hard disks are now so cheap it can be a waste of time burning video data files to DVD just to play them on a TV. You can find media players for about £15/$25 on ebay which will play "divx" files and you just plug them into your TV and use a USB stick/card/HDD.
