question about "deconstructing harry" (woody allen film)?

I have an avi file of the film im trying to watch and frequently characters will cut mid sentence to the end of a different sentence in the same scene, also, shots of the same thing are shown over and over again, is this the technique of the film or a dodgy avi?

for example woody will be saying "i squandered everything I have on lawyers-" then it will cut to him saying "-tigue syndrome" is this supposed to happen?
