If someone was suppose to go to court to get their sentencing but didn't show up.
Can they still be released? Can the Judge change their mind or do they have to go to prison?
Thanks
It would depend on their prior record as far as prison but failure to appear for sentencing can be charged as escape in some states and the person will be housed in the county or city jail while waiting for the hearing if they have been arrested on the warrant because once they failed to appear an arrest warrant was issued. Since you did not give the charges the final outcome is impossible to predict but usually either county jail time or prison time depending on the severity of the crime.~
