Question about Sony Ericsson W508?

Hey, I've got a Sony Ericsson W508 and i was wondering if theres a way I can get rid of the task bar at the bottom of the home page. It covers my wallpaper and its a nuisance. Thanks heaps for any help (:
I mean top of the home page.
