I run now and do exercise as i am in the application for the Royal navy (UK), have passed my fitness ect, i smoke and have 12+ months still until i go into basic training, i just wanted to know that if i quit now how much will my running and fitness improve?? plus somebody said that in basic training you will probably start smoking because of the stress so i guess im asking if i do give up now and my fitness ect gets better then if in raleigh, after 12+ months of not smoking, if i do start smoking again then will my fitness drastically plummet?? i know its not healthy to smoke but is it going to be better for me to train with smoking and get my fitness better or to quit and improve my fitness but it may plummet if i start again?? if this makes any sense. thank you
