Declawing is like a parasite relationship, it only benefits one.
It is an amputation of the Distal Phalanx, including flexor tendons, dorsal ligaments, vessels, and the claw! All of which is needed for complete beneficial and needed growing of the feline foot, when you remove the claw, not only does your cat feel un-relentless pain, it causes his walking to change forever!

Vast amounts of people are finally opening their eyes to the undeniable truth that declawing causes an abundant amount of unnecessary pain amongst cats, Declawing is tantamount to animal abuse, which leads to behavioral and physical issues, such as (Urinating on furniture, Painful foot infections, and eventually turns into human abuse!

Please, be tolerant of the more humane options out there in the world today, such as soft paws (soft weight vinyl caps) that go over the cats claws.
Trim your cats claws, is another alternative, and scratching post to mountain good ability in their muscles.

NOT-- declawing will lead to both you and your cat living in complete solace, and happiness.
Be a hero in the strife of your conscious mind! Choose to END this un-needed animal torture and cruelty, which is sweeping the U.S!

Nature has bestowed the claws upon our wonderful felines for a reason; Cleary not to be mutilated by a humane being (otherwise they would not have claws!)

Even, provied with information -- it still leaves my mind in complte egnimatic, that people still mutilate cats, just for their own ill-minded shortcomings, tears my heart,so.

Support your patronage, and vote in for ending this in-humane practice!

I Got a new cat from my dad that bought me one, from the humane society, and hes adorable! The only problem is so far, he only wants to claw me, and my dad feels very strongly that he should be declawed for our safety and for his and our benefit, what do you think about declawing, and what is the side effects of it, if i was go though with it?

Realize that once your cat is declawed, it will resort to biting if it feels scared or threatened rather than the warning swipe of claws, and the bite will be much worse.

Declawing is major surgery. It is actually an amputation of part of the toe. It's like having part of your finger cut off to the first joint. The cat will need several days recovery and must use special litter or shredded newspaper until healed. Not all vets will do it and it is fairly expensive. Afterward you should not let your cat outside because now it is defenseless.
There is a product called soft paws that are caps that are glued over the claws. The caps last several weeks and then need to be reapplied.
Be sure you are not playing roughly with the cat. If you are play fighting with it, it will scratch.

A good member here, Zach, has put up a blog about just this.. here is his url..

And he is not just a crusader, he has a de-clawed cat that he adopted.

Don't declaw your cat. It's claws are it's only weapon against other animals. Also there claws help them to keep there balance.
