jews and arabs belong to the Semitic people and although Christianity started is Asia as did Judaism and islam we all worship the same God all the religions recognise Moses,Jesus amd Mo hammed but each religion has it own set of rules. there have been so many wars fought over religion that the world is weary of it people are turning away from religion the Jewish religion has many sects same with the Christian faith and Muslims the same one day perhaps after a great tragedy people will realise there is only one God let us hope it is yours

answer: be aware - another answer is incorrect and misleading intentionally. "messianic jews" are NOT Jews, they are Christians and an overwhelmingly majority of them were NEVER Jewish. They are dishonest and dishonor both Christianity and Judaism.

Thanks Paperback for the majority of this with some tweaking by Qua Patet Orbis and Myself.

Islam, Judaism and christianity are alike because they are all religions of Allah.
Allah sent his 1st book which was Towrat (torah), then Injeel (bible) and the holy Quran.

When Allah sent the torah and the bible some of the verses were changed by man to suit their needs.
when Allah sent the Quran he vowed to protect it.

To the guy that thinks Jesus is god.
Does god need to eat or drink?
Does god need to breathe air like we do?
NO!

Then why did Jesus do all these things if he was/is god?

You're asking quite a lot and that can not be fully answered in a place like this. I'll have to agree with another post that you should really do your own homework. Come here if you have questions about your research or don't quite understand something that you find.

I will, however, explain something about the three Abrahamic religions that may help you. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all worship and believe in the same god and they all come from the same place or have the same roots so to speak.

An easy way to think of it is you begin with Judaism which begins with Abraham, the father of Judaism. Christianity broke off from Judaism with the belief of Jesus of Nazareth being the son of god. "Christ" is really a title that is applied to Jesus. The idea is that Jesus, being the son of god, died for our sins. If you believe this, you don't need to continue to follow many of the beliefs and practices of Judaism. For Islam, Muhammad is the prophet of God and they often see Jesus as another prophet but not as "the" prophet and certainly not as the son of God.

Imagine a tree, the stump being Judaism. From there it breaks off to Christianity, Islam, as well as continuing to grow as Judaism. These three in turn also break off into several different sects, all who believe slightly different things.

This sounds like a school project sort of question. If so, you should take the time to look at some books yourself, there are lots of good ones out there.

Or do you feel a tug on your heart to find what really is the truth? There are differences, to be sure. I will just speak to a key difference between Judaism and Christianity.

Judaism looks at the first 5 books of the bible as their law, and still await the coming of their Messiah, as spoken of by the prophet Isaiah and others in Old Testament writing. Their founder is Abraham, and the story of his life is in the first book of the Bible, Genesis. I would recommend that you read this book, and also the gospel of John in the New Testament.

The founder of Christianity is Jesus himself, who speaks of Abraham and says in the New Testament the awesome statement, "... before Abraham was, I am.* He (Jesus) was with God at the beginning, and so he says this in this way to stress that he is outside time, and encompasses time. Messianic Jews have accepted that Jesus is the Messiah who was to come.

In terms of Holy Cities, Jerusalem is where he has said he will return to. But it is people that are most precious to God; and not anyone over anyone else. He says that if you seek him with your whole heart, you will find Him, and in believing in him you will be saved for eternity. He sends his Holy Spirit into hearts that are open to receiving him as their Lord, and has promised to "remain with you always, even unto the end of the world." **

I believe that the main purpose that we are here is to be reconciled to God, through his Son, Jesus Christ, who did what we could not do as the the sinless son of God dying on the cross in our place, that we might believe and go to be with him forever. That is quite simply how much he loves us, and what price he paid for us. God bless you!

Do your own homework.
This question is clearly a scapegoat to get out of thinking and researching for yourself.
