Oh No. This is terrible. I have been watching repeats of his show, with Hattie Jaques, on UK Gold. I still laugh out loud at them. He was a great script writer and a very funny man.
I have a DVD of The Plank with Eric, Tommy Cooper, Jimmy Edwards to name but a few. It is hilarious.
It was sad news indeed to hear about Eric Sykes, he was a good comedian/actor and script writer. He wrote things that were funny and clean, and without any swear words, he wrote pure entertainment.
I am certainly glad that I am around to have watched Eric Sykes, Morecambe and Wise etc, again they knew how to make people laugh and keep them entertained.
