Southern preacher rant against? America? Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell said that 9/11 and hurricanes and quakes were God's punishment on the US. Others said Hurrican Katrian was divine vengeance. Even Abe Lincoln said in his 2nd inaugural address that God was punishing America for slavery by making the Civil War.
So why do you keep on bringing up Rev Wright as an America-hater? Even Southern evangelicals damn America as the illegitimate child of the heathen.

In the past three days there have been two questions posted on YA about Rev. Wright, and one of them is this one. But the bottom line is that a racist black is just as bad as a racist white, and both are dead wrong.
Just in case anyone would like to know where the idea of races (which has been disproven through advances in genetic sciences) came from;
"Carl Linnaeus, 1707 – 1778) was a Swedish botanist, physician, and zoologist, who laid the foundations for the modern scheme of binomial nomenclature" (the formal system of naming species). "Linnaeus presented a concept of 'race' as applied to humans, also including mythological creatures. Within Homo sapiens he proposed five taxa of a lower (unnamed) rank. These categories were Africanus, Americanus, Asiaticus, Europeanus, and Monstrosus. (The "monstrous" humans included such entities as the "agile and fainthearted" dwarf of the Alps, the Patagonian giant, and the monorchid Hottentot.)"
But I have to admit that even though I believe that race is a social construct, I still don't completely trust those Agile and Fainthearted Dwarfs of the Alps, the Patagonian Giants, and the Monorchid Hottentots. It might take a little time...

I have been to church a few times and I can never say I heard any preacher talking badly about any race, they talked moistly about God and Jesus and made a few jokes only old people laughed at

Wright and the United Church of Christ are both anti-American and always have been......The Rev. Barry Lind has been a borderline idiot for years
