ran a red light because i slid on ice..?

this morning on my way to work i saw a light turn yellow i cam to stop at the light but slid into the middle of the three way intersection. Then the MP mad a right around the corner and pulled me over. i explained my story and he still gave me a ticket should i pay it or contest it.
 
You still went through the red light.

Nevermind that you should have slowed down WELL in advance, to make sure that you wouldn't have something like that happen. Especially given that you were aware of the weather conditions.

Pay the ticket.
