rap/hip-hop artists out of the norm?

so i really want to try and get into rap music and learn to appreciate it but i just can't seem to find any good artists these days. the norm is all about sex, money, drugs, gangs, women, etc. etc. it's all a bunch of crap if you ask me. not to mention the cheezey beats they put into the songs. anyways i've been listening to a lot of trip-hop instrumental stuff lately like Fat Jon, Nujabes, FORCE OF NATURE and some others and they're actually pretty good, i haven't listened to any of their songs with vocals in it yet though but they come up with some pretty good beats, especially Nujabes. if anyone can help me out in finding out some good artists that speak from the heart and about real stuff like life or something than that would be great. i'm tired of all the pointless lyrics of today's rap artists.
