Rap music a postive influence on youth or a bad influence?

Most kids and teens are listening to rap music with lyrics of violence,hate ,racism,sexism and foul language! surely this is not having a positive impact on the youth of today??? I think its sending out a very negative message to our younger generation! also a lot of these rappers are thugs and wannabe thugs! and to some kids teens its going to imply that this lifestyle is cool and the way to live! when it clearly is not! what are your views on this?

I think it influences some kids, but not all.

It makes all those things like violence, hate, sex, and other things kind of casual..
they aren't things that should be casual.

So, in a way..yes.
