As we said yesterday, the real refs would be back in the NFL soon. Just as well predicted, the NFL and the ref union agreed to terms and the real refs were on the field for Thursday Night Football. Goodbye, replacement refs.
Fans, after watching those horrible replacement refs in action, were glad to see the real refs. In fact, the fans of the Baltimore Ravens gave the real refs a standing ovation before their team took on the Cleveland Browns.
Said ref Gene Steratore before the game: “It’s happy to be back, it’s happy to be appreciated. But then as soon as the game starts, it’s happy to disappear again and let the entertainers entertain.”
Now we can just go back to hating refs like usual. But at least they will be real refs.
