I used to smoke occasionally and once after smoking I noticed my heart rate was really high for a while, like 140 bpm. I looked that up and I think it was a super-ventricular tachycardia, which can be caused by smoking but isn't usually serious. But ever since then when I just take a puff on a cigarette I feel really sick. Is it all in my head? I don't really have any desire to smoke, it just bothers me-like that shows that I am unhealthy in some way, so I would like to know that I could smoke a cigarette if I wanted and it wouldn't be a problem.
what are some reasons for it making me sick?

First reason is that nicotine is a poison, a relatively weak one but a poison none the less.

Secondly I wish everyone's body was like yours, your is letting you know without question that what your trying is bad for you. Most people feel slightly euphoric or calmed when using nicotine. This hides the damage it is doing to their bodies.

So there is nothing wrong with you. You just have a higher sense of self preservation.
