So, I've wanted to start a few more shounen manga, since in the past six years I've only been able to read Naruto and FMA, with no interest in the other big titles. I started Reborn, but so far it's been pretty dull. Two/three volumes in and all I've seen is an abundance of oneshot-ish chapters and more (seemingly uninteresting and predictable) characters added on. Tsuna has made almost no development, and I don't really see the main goal besides Tsuna being a mafia boss in the end.
Granted, Naruto started just about the same way, but the Wave arc had emotional depth and character development, as well as substantial and understandable growth for the characters before that. Though, I suppose it's not right to compare the two just because the two are shounen manga.
I guess my main irk is that everything about it is filler-like chapters and dramatized humor so far.
So... what's there to look forward to (with the least amount of spoilers, if possible)? Where does it start to pick up? Because I'm not interested in the slightest atm (and if this pointless filler-chapter-ness keeps going for much longer, I'll probably just give up on all other shounen manga). Sorry if this sounds more like whining than an inquiry.
