My hair has gotten extremely thin this past year due to a medication (accutane) I finished about 8 months ago. The symptoms of accutane (hair loss being a potential one) are supposed to dissapear after 6-12 months. However, my hair hasn't been getting ANY THICKER and has been getting thinner and thinner. Also, my hairline has significantly receded this past 4 months. I don't know if its because of bad nutrition and extreme stress (family, relationship, and school) or if I'm just going through male pattern baldness.

Basically... can a receding hairline be caused by bad nutrition and stress? If not then do you think it is just male pattern baldness?

Also, if it helps, my mother's side has good hair genes with just a little bit of receding hairline with age, and my father started going bald in his early 20s. My brother also has a full head of hair and no receding hairline and he is in his mid-20s. So is it more likely to be bad nutrition mixed with medication sideeffects or male pattern baldness?
