Recommended tire pressure for hybrid bike tire?

What is the recommended psi for a 700cx35 hybrid bike tire for a 100 lb person?
I dont kno much bout dis stuff, it feels pretty tight at 40 psi. Feels hard to get any more. I don't wan't to risk it without knowing its safe.

I really can't imagine how tires can go up to 130psi.
 
Check the recommended pressure range that is printed on the side of the tire. Start out with the highest pressure and go for a ride. If it feels too harsh lower it a few pounds. If you ride on the road use a higher pressure the you would on gravel. Too low of a pressure will be harder to pedal.
