Reoccurring Violent Dream?

I've had this dream about 4-5 times the last 2 weeks.
In the dream my girlfriend and I will be in my basement when an Unknown person comes in. Shoots her in the chest and me in the head, in the dream were both still alive, I can actually feel a weird sensation in my head.. We crawl up the stairs and i lay on her chest and start hyper ventilating and shaking, Then die I guess.
The reason I'm asking is I woke her up last night because I was actually breathing like in the dream and pawing and grabbing at her, like in the dream.
Any help would be appreciated seeing as this has kind of freaked me out due to the physical manifestations from last night
 
I have had a reoccurring dream before that was quite violent. But the best thing you can do is to try not to think about it and what ever you do do not relate it to your real life at all.
Dreams are caused by your memory organizing itself in your sleep. For example, if you spent all day thinking about fudge you are most likely to dream about fudge. So by not thinking about the nightmare loads it should die
 
The first thing I thought of . . . is your girlfriend pregnant?

Hard to say. IF you are stressed, this is definitely an anxiety dream. If your house is old it could be a bad spirit dream. It may a premonition, so check all your windows and doors, get a barky dog.

Try praying before you go to sleep.
