I'm working on my sister's lap top and the Internet Explorer was so very corrupted. I installed FireFox which is a nice band aid solution, but doesn't do anything for fixing Internet Explorer. I reset the settings (Tools>Advance>Reset) which did nothing and I'm about to uninstall and try reinstalling the entire thing. I just want to figure out what the problem is though.
The obvious problem are on Google when you click on a link, it will pull up another tab and bring up some "Find Website" site and you have to copy/paste the direct link. Also, on Facebook, to those who are familiar with the site, the chat bar with appear on the top and it won't allow you to chat because the menus are still pulled up. Lastly, Hotmail will not work (it's nothing to do with security/cookies settings)
These are just the things I've noticed in the short time I looked at her lap top.
Are these symptoms familiar to anyone? Any suggestions?
