I would like to replace my Bell home phone service as I'm currently paying a little over $60/month but as I live out in the country, VOIP is out of the question. What are some other options for home phone service. I don't currently have a cell phone so I guess this could be an option maybe? What would the pro's and con's be?
I'm in Canada

The costs of a cell phone could be more than your Bell bill depending on what you sign up for and how much you use it. My cell from tracfone is prepaid at the rate of 100 usd per year and I get 1000 minutes which I use sparingly. I don't talk for hours on the telephone. If you're a "gabber" you are going to pay. If VOIP is out of the question cell phone is your only answer. If you want the "internet" on your cell, you're going to be paying more than you are paying now. If your $60 a month includes internet you probably have the best deal you are going to find.
