Report an Engine Swap to the DMV?

I have a 1991 MR2 with a N/A 5S-FE engine in it. I'm going to be swapping it with a JDM 3S-GTE engine in a couple months.

Now when it comes to DMV and smog, what should I do after the swap? Do I have to do anything special?
I'm in California
