Rip dvd then copy madness?

So I ripped a few dvds, but I would like to back them up to a dvd in case my computer crashes. I used DVD shrink to save them onto my computer. But when I burn them to a CD I only get video, no sound. How do I burn them to where I can get sound and video?

You need a proper DVD conversion/authoring app, preferably a paid one that includes the needed codec licenses.

That said, you do not need to really worry too much, you have the original DVDs to watch anyways, or else you would be in illegal posession of those rips.
