Rogers - Canada - iPhone 3G?

Hey, I have a SUPER old plan that my dad had (just calling) In his old phone and I out the sim into my iPhone 3G, I got an unlimited data ADD-ON, and some other things added. Since Rogers doesn't know I have an iPhone, if I just got an "Unlimited web browsing/social networking" Add on, will it work for the iPhone? Or will I need a full out Data plan?
