rogers wireless upgrade?

hi i want to upgrade my phone because its like about to break im with rogers and ive been in the plan for a year now and its a 3 year plan. anywase i was wondering if you have to extend your plan to get a new phone, or do you have to pay full price, also can you ask to use warrenty and they give you some money towards the phone....i really want a new cell phone but my parents dont want me to spend to much money help please.....!!!!!

Whether or not you are eligible for a handset upgrade depends upon the type of plan you signed. However after one year it is unlikely. It is wise to use the warranty and have your current phone fixed. Rogers generally does not offer handset upgrades without signing a new contract, however since you are still at the beginning of a three year term it is highly unlikely they will offer an upgrade or subsidized phone to you.

There is a very good chance you will have to buy any replacement phone outright. You are looking at at least a $200 investment to do so and that will only get you a bare bones unit.

Rogers does also have refurbished phones on their website for sale which is also a good way to go if you really want to replace your phone.
