rumor issure with ex roommate?

So about 2 months ago my roommate/best friend and I had a huge falling out, over some really stupid stuff. She made up a whole bunch of lies about stuff that I supposedly did, and moved out. We have a lot of mutual friends, and she keeps talking down about me to them, but then turns around and tells me not to tell them stuff about her. Is this fair, that whatever I've been saying is actually true, and whatever she's telling them isn't?? Luckily my friends know that I'm the more trustworthy one and told her to stop...
Any advice?
 
Be honest with everybody, but there's no need to bring up the things that you don't like about your former roomie with your mutual friends. If you go on about the ex-roomie with your mutual friends, you put them in a really weird situation. They want to be friends with both of you, and they like both of you. However, they don't want to hear either one of you cut into a friend of theirs. If you need to vent about the ex-roomie do so to somebody who doesn't know her.
 
Im sure you know by now your ex room mate is not really your friend. Sounds like you have a good group of friends. Stay positive and stay away from ex room mate.
