I saw it on espn.com just now. I think it would be good for the Mavs, but I have to see who the Mavs will give up. It would be nice to have someone that good coming off the bench for Dirk. That actually might be the best backup PF Dirk has ever had. Actually not "might", it will be. But I have to see who they give up. That would mean we have two great 6th men coming off the bench (assuming they aren't giving up Terry).
mavs are trying to replace chandler and stevenson and they already got 2 big centers plus an eye howard. . rudy is it for mr goggles.lamar is definitely a positive for mavs. mike brown brings new philosophy to lakers so maybe he has terry as his shooter in a brand new offense. the only other guy i can think of is matrix but may be too old for lakers. as someone said it may be a 3 team deal involving paul, but not howard as both lakers and mavs want howard and i doubt theyd cooperate to give him up to the other.
For whom would he be traded? What can Dallas possibly offer to the Lakers that would be even remotely endearing?
I'm not buying it. The only way Lamar gets moved is if he's included in a trade package for Chris Paul or Dwight Howard.
If the deal is for Jason Terry, that's ridiculous. Versatile big-men are less prevalent than are spot-up shooting point-guards. If the Lakers were this desperate for a PG, they should go after Chauncey Billups.
