S.T.A.L.K.E.R. clear sky pc game?

i have had this problem now with 2 versions and 4 different patches of stalker clear sky pc game. the game works great, looks great all except the sky and distant background. all it does is blur the trees and buildings etc. across the whole sky and background. like constant trails of textures. its so bad i cant play the game. ive updated my graphics card drivers, the dx update, and installed every patch available for the game.ive tried every option available in the game and nothing gets rid of it. i cant find anyone else having this problem with retail or even cracked versions of the game. i dont get it. im pissed i cant play this game. like i said graphics are great all over but the sky and background. its impossible to play. anyone else know about this?
