My check engine light turned on after I bought a Saab 1996 900 s from a mechanic. It gave the error code about a secondary air injection problem so I opened up the hood and there was a very apparent problem with the air pump lines and check valve. I corrected the problem and it was working great pump and all. The check engine light hasn't gone off yet though after a week of driving it. Should I reset the light manually and see if the light comes on again?

Yes, you have to clear the code by deleting it by a computer and drive on the car for 50 mile. If the light didn't come up, that mean you solved the problem.
