SAMSUNG Computer Monitor won't respond????!!!?

Whenever I try and turn on my computer, the screen won't turn on. It just waits for a bit, then flashes vacant. I have checked all the cables and they are all OK, it is just the monitor. I have recently downloaded Sims 2 although I have been playing on it for a few days and it has been fine....
Pls help!
 
try another comp/monitor to determine if the monitor is the problem or the pc.
 
I guess its not a problem with your monitor, most probably its your display driver issue.

When you turn on your computer hit f8 key repeatedly. List of options will be displayed, then choose the option Enable VGA MODE. and finally you reinstall your display driver after logging on your pc.
