Samsung Galaxy Ace or Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini?

Looking for a new phone [first smart phone, preferably with android] as i asked a question similar earlier, im stuck between the Samsung galaxy ace and the Sony ericsson xperia mini, as i'm on a tight budget of no more than around £160, and the xperia mini is only 150 in carphone warehouse for new, where as the galaxy ace is 150 preowned in cex lol. Which of the two would you say is better?
