I first got the Samsung Gravity 2 in store from T-Mobile on July 19th, 2010. I got the Ocean Blue color and I was very happy. The worker there put my sim card and my memory card into my phone. When I went home, I immediately wanted to call my best friend, but I couldn't because it appears that some random person's contacts were in my "new" phone. I told my parents, and they were baffled. Then I went to charge my phone, and the back cover got extremely hot. I thought it was the battery, so while the phone was charging, I opened up the back and touched it. It had absolutely no temperature at all. So, I touched the top, about near where the sim card and camera is placed, and it was burning up. I know I shouldn't have opened the phone while it was charging, but I had to find the source. Luckily, the T-Mobile worker got me a brand new, just manufactured phone in Metallic Pumpkin, and he charged the phone for about 5 or 7 minutes in the store, and he said the back wasn't hot. Now, I charged my phone today for about 30-45 minutes today because it had one bar left. And now I have the same problem as the first phone. What should I do? If I tell my father again, he'll tell me to buy a completely different phone, but the T-Mobile phones out now either require data, don't look too nice, or don't meet my standards a little. Is there a way where I can solve this problem myself? Will this effect go away overtime like say, a month or even 3 months? Please if anybody has this same problem, i'd like to hear your story too. Thanks.
