I have a Samsung Galaxy S. When I make a call the person on the other end sounds muffled. I have taken off the plasitc covering and there is nothing wrong there so I am channelling my efforts into trying to decifer the ServiceMode.
The ServiceMode can be activate by typing *#*#197328640#*#* into the keypad (just as you would when making a call).
My issue it that I have no idea what all the infomormation means! For example the first menu you encounter is:
[1] DEBUG SCREEN
[2] VERSION INFO.
[3] UMTS RF NV
[4] GMS RF NV
[5] AUDIO
[6] COMMON
Now the above menu doesn't look overly complex but the endless string of menus will lead you to other menus like this one:
[1] SRC SPEECH RX VOLUME
[2] DST I2S1 TX VOLUME
[2] SRC I2S1 RX VOLUME:86
[4] DST SPEECH TX VOLUME:96
[5] SIDETONE:0X0
[6] I2S1 RX GAIN:0X1C85
etc...
It occurs to me that there must be a manual or some sort of instructions for the Service Mode. I just can find it on the internet!
If anyone knows any information then please please let me know (not wishing to sound to much like a letter to jim'll fix it!)
Many thanks!
