Samsung Rogers Captivate lock button not working .?

every time i press the lock button to lock the screen or unlock it , nothing happens .
Even when i take out the battery and try to reboot, i cant select the reboot option because its not working . I've pressed the stupid thing maybe over 100 times and it still wont work . It just stopped randomly .
Anything i can do ?
