This problem has been prevailing for several months now. I regularly upload music onto my Samsung S5 MP3 player using the program Samsung Media Studios which I received when I purchased my S5. Usually, I've been able to upload music and the like onto my S5 without a problem, but recently, I opened up the SMS program to upload more onto the S5, but I was unable to click on the "portable" icon which is displayed on the right hand side of the program in tabs, meaning that I had (and still don't) have access to my S5.
Also, I regularly use the RECORD function on my S5 (and I really like its sound quality!), but I can't upload my recordings to my computer, because of the SMS problem.
Though I've considered that the inaccessible "portable device" (ie my S5) could be due to the SMS program, it could also be the S5 itself. Because recently, I was unable to delete files on my S5.
Either that, or Samsung is faulty. I am thinking of formatting my S5 - but I don't want to lose the recordings that I've created, and I have no other way to transfer the files other than through SMS.
Please let me know any solutions regarding how to fix this problem!
I plan to either: a) Keep uninstalling SMS, and reinstalling it until the "portable device" icon appears
or b) format my S5 - not wishing to do this however.
