I have a Samsung Trance phone. The other day I plugged my headphones into the phone to listen to music. While I had the headphones in, I tried calling someone. I heard them through the headphones just fine, but it seemed like they couldn't hear me. So I ended the call, pulled out the headphones, and tried again. This time, no sound came out of my phone and the mic still wasn't picking up any sound. After a bit if messing around with it, I discovered that my phone is acting like I have a headset (one of those stereo + mic ones) plugged in and it's constantly pressing the button on it. Every time I go to a text message, it keeps trying to call the callback number, just as if the number was being pressed. If I try to type in a number, it dials it right away. I was able to temporarily solve this by turning on TTY mode, which disables the 'headset' but calls still don't work; I can hear the other side through my phone, but the mic still doesn't seem to pick anything up.

I've already tried plugging in the headphones in and out again, I've tried plugging in an actual headset and unplugging it, I've tried turning the phone off with headphones in and turning it back on with headphones out, and none of those have worked.

Any ideas? If I have to reset my phone to factory settings, then I'd be fine with that, as long as there's a way to export all my contacts. Does anyone know how to do that?
