samsung tv faults , any tv buffs out there tv starts for a second then goes off?

40 inch le40a559 lcd 1080, problem is -- light comes on at bottom quike flash of a picture then goes off. and thats it. it keeps on doing that and nothing else ?
am i inline for a large reair bill or would it be something i can fix myself
