samsung usb say's for dvds that it doesn't have codec support, help?

okay so my big black samsung usb has some on my dvds on it and they worked on the tv and now when i plug into the dvd and watch one of them you can hear the sound but the screen is black because it say's no codec support.
can you help me fix this or give me a link to get a codec thing.
