Sausages cooking help?

so my mom tolld me to fry some sausages that she set in the refrigerator when it had defrosted. I cooked it until the outside became brownish black and microwaved it for like 3minutes. I cut open the sausages and it was all squishy. I don't have those thermometers for meat so is there a way that i know its fully cooked?

I think anytime "squishy" is the best way to describe your food....it's probably not a good thing! I would fry to get a little color on them, then add some water, or better yet - a can of beer - to the skillet, cover and simmer for about 20 minutes. Some things just aren't best done in the microwave.

U can cut them in pieces an saute them till theres no pink. To start I brown them on both sides add a little water about 1/4 cup and put a lid on for about 8 minutes untill all the water is mostly evaporated. Usually cooks perfect everytime. Microwave is just yuck to me.
