Say you have ADD or ADHD...?

and the medicine you take doesn't last that long. And when you start to come off of it you tend to drop from the "high" of concentration". And while you are on it, you feel very anxious... There are the extended release capsules, but let's say your insurance doesn't cover it.
Are there any foods or drinks that can help throughout the day? I've heard that added certain things to your diet can really help...

If you believe they will, mind over matter to an extent can help. Valerian Root is a supplement that is proven to help with anxiety if taken over a period of a few weeks and regularly at a therepeutic dose and so a reduction in anxiety may correspond to a rise in concentration, then there are Omega 3 fatty acids that you can take that 'have been shown' to boost brain power, learning, memory and concentration - and an overall healthy diet and regular exercise - but if you have a condition, nothing can help it more than the medication needed, especially for things like ADHD and ADD.
