Scared high rising white count-went to Doctor complaining of a swollen gland.

prescibed antibiotic Augmentin-? 1 Week later - CBC test came back at 13,000. Next day 17,000. Next Day 18,000. Over the weekend, I am feeling like I have a virus, almost sick but no outward signs of a cold or flu. I visited a Hematoligist who took about 6 viles of blood for analysis 2 days ago, but the lab wont have the results for 4 more days. I am so scared. of cancer, STDs. THe fact tht its rising and I feel like it even went up from 18K over the weeked due to how I feel over the weekend makes me want to cry. HELP!!

Augmentin is a prescription medicine that is anti bacterial, like penicillin; I don't know what form you have but here is a link that will provide you more info. It is always worse not knowing and waiting for test results but in the meantime you can call your dr and ask what he thinks it could possibly be.

Relax while you wait for the doctor report. Panic will not solve or help anything.
