I need help.
A week ago my pond suffered a raccoon attack. All of my 8 koi were killed except for 3. One had serious injuries with its mouth torn off, he died an hour later, one had scratches and torn fins and suffered from trauma, he died 2 days later.
my third fish is healthy. He has no apparent injuries but was very scared by the event. He used to be enthusiastic whenever i was around and would even eat out of my hand. However, now he seemed to be extremely scared. He has went to the bottom of the pond and refuses to come up. HE does not swim. he does not eat. Another thing is he is slightly leaning in the water, not like he used to be.
This has been going on for a week and i am afraid that he will never snap out of it. What is the problem and wat can i do?????

I'm sorry for the loss of your Koi's. I would suggest to quarantine the rest of your surviving Koi's into a a huge bucket or tank for two weeks away from the pond and try to wait for the raccoon to go away or get revenge by capturing it and release it somewhere away from your house or kill it by setting traps or putting poison gas outside of your house and then later after two weeks in an aquarium with filter, food, and oxygen or just the bucket if necessary you can now release the rest of your fish into your pond after your done cleaning and cycling the water for fresh clean water so that the Koi's don't die quickly due to the change in water temperature.

I hope this has helped you a lot. Take good care of your Koi fish and be confident that your fish will grow up happy and healthy!

Good Luck! :)
