Scared of dating!! help me im 17!!?

Im 17 years old, and im a junior at my High school. I moved from Russia 8 in half years ago. Ok there is this very cute girl at my school that likes me and im pretty sure about it. Shes shy and I always see her looking at me or talking to her friends and giggling while looking at me and kinda gets jealous of other girls taking to me. I never had a gf in my life. Im kinda scared of asking her out because I never had a gf. I never talk about girls with any of family members especially my mom. I got my driving license also 4 months ago and I can't have anyone with me in the car. Im worried about my mom saying " u got a gf ? omg! im so happy for u " and stuff like that. I dress like a prep all the time and I think the girl thinks im some party guy or some guy with very exciting life. In reality im not, I go home after school and sit on the internet because I have absolutely nothing to do, or I go work. On weekends I go skimboarding thats all, other then that i live a boring life.
