ringing a bell for anyone? I have no idea what this book is called, but it's nearly become an obsession to find it again. I've narrowed it down that the Author's last name -must- start with an S, as that was the section it was in, after Salvatore's work and before the T's on the other side. On the cover, there was a tan feline in a robe, well, feline-human male, and a human female, and I -think- they were looking off in fear at something. They were bonded, as said on the back, and it was the second in what I'm guessing was a trilogy, if not an outright series. Unfortunately, I don't remember the title, or the Author's actual name. 
It was set in the far future of Earth, I know that much, and humans and these feline things weren't meant to be together, but it had a touch of romance and adventure in it anyway.
