My boyfriend and I were installing a stereo in my boyfriends car with limited experience, it seemed pretty simple, match the colours. However the idiot who previously had the car did a very poor job with the wires in the dash and so our approach at solving it was trial and error. We finally found the proper combination of wires to get power to the deck, and he was just about to turn off the car so we could connect it. I picked up the two wires to be connected, and electricity jumped between them and the interior light, which was on, went out, and now it, the dash, and tail lights will not work. I feel terrible and need to know what I have done and how hard is it to fix, and if it is something that requires a professional, how much is it going to cost?
