I've had a problem with a Seagate hard drive which was 1TB disk space, I plugged it into my computer, and it worked fine, I turned my computer off every once in a while, with the external hard drive still plugged in, and everything usually went fine. However one time when i started up my computer, it died, and I had to system restore my computer.
I was told that the hard drive had currupted my opperating system?
I was annoyed that this had happened because I had to system restore my computer...
To add to my frustration, my other computer has just suffered the same fate, only I haven't system restored it yet.
Both of the computers are HP desktops, the one which still has its fate in the balance, is a HP 5070.uk.a. I started it up and it freezes at the blue screen which says hp invent, I cannot press any keys and it won't go away, I believe it is frozen.
Please could you tell me if I can recover my data from the C drive, and how would I be able to do this? I am also unsure on how to actually system recover the computer in the first place.
