As you know, we hear about global warming all the time, but it seems like we are not doing anything about it. Why is there drastic weather changes? Will there be something big, like a major natural disaster that destroys a lot of us?

Just thought about this and it's pretty scary.

No. Don't take to heart everything you hear on the news or Al Gore. They intentionally try to scare you into believing that we're in such a crisis, the only way to fix the problem is to do what they say by either paying more in taxes, limiting how much you travel, forcing you to buy "green" products. . . These people are called alarmists because they want you to be scared. Global warming is not as clear cut as people like that would have you believe. Despite what anyone says, there is still debate to what causes it and to what extent.

As far as the weather and natural disasters, they will happen. Because they've always happened, so they will continue long after we are gone to happen. People like to think that before humans were here, the earth was this magical place where weather and climate were always the same for ever and ever. Well, it wasn't. It's changed before, and will change again.

Do some reading on the subject for yourself. It's really more to the debate than you think.

No one needs to help the earth. It's been around for 4.8 billion years and we've been here a few hundred thousand. We can't destroy the earth. We CAN destroy ourselves.

Well, we have groups and political parties trying to change things, but we have people who oppose environmentally friendly systems, such as big oil companies. So they hire guys (lobbyists) to convince politicians to not go for enviro friendly stuff for money.
