Seriously, what is the point of fansites for celebrities??

Like it's not enough that pics and news of them is in magazines. Can we leave it at that?
No. Little 11/12 year olds decide that they are going to make a website full of pictures/icons of a person they dont know. How can you love/dedicate a site to someone YOU DONT KNOW??!
And the news/updates about the celebrities? The blends? The candids? They write every single thing that he/she do! Its wayyy out of control!
LEAVE IT TO WIKIPEDIA TO WRITE INFO ABOUT THE CELEBRITIES, LEAVE IT TO THE MAGAZINES FOR GOSSIP, but websites?
Come on!

so people can connect with others all over the world that share their obsession. and its a form of personal expression. Some celebs sing songs or play in movie roles that mean a lot to people. Helped them get over a death or divorce or something and they want to show their love. they feel connected to them because the song they sing describes their situation exactly.

and you can find out what they have got coming up if there is a concert etc.
